Role and conditions
Virtus buys time for allies through Deflection, DEF Up and revival. Every attack scales with DEF. His fifth combo hit heals only Virtus from damage dealt; he is not a substitute for a team healer.
Sacred Discipline redirects part of allied damage to Virtus. More Deflection also places more pressure on him. Use it before dangerous damage when he can survive the transfer. Righteous Blessing requires ultimate mana as well as a ready cooldown.
Skill priorities
For a protector with revival, start with Righteous Blessing, then Sacred Discipline, Holy Cleave, Pure Fury and the combo. Move Holy Cleave earlier when critical hits can reliably trigger its Harden and personal survival is the problem. Do not invest in stronger redirection while the tank dies from it.
Stats and equipment
Build DEF and enough HP to absorb redirected damage. Critical rate supports Harden from Holy Cleave. Skill Recovery helps active cooldowns; Mana Gen addresses a late revival. These ratings solve different delays. ACC is not a priority for the listed self buffs and revival.
Compare 5 Defense + 3 Health with 5 Health + 3 Defense according to survival. Use DEF% or HP% on shoulders and chest, DEF% or critical rate on gloves, and Skill Recovery or Mana Gen on the belt. Lightseekers accessories are separate from the eight relic slots: DEF+ amulet, HP+ earrings, DEF% or HP% banner and a talisman matching the delay.
Titans and limitations
Themista and Visciant are compatible Lightseekers options with bound HP bonuses. Compare their actual effect levels instead of assuming a rarer titan is always better. Keep a healer in long fights and provide a separate answer to the boss mechanics. Immunity protects against a limited number of debuffs; it is not invulnerability. Three possible Harden triggers do not establish additive 75% damage reduction.
